Samsung has confirmed that its 990 Pro SSD with heatsink is now available in Australia. This is compatible both with the PS5 and PCs and offers faster speeds with less power usage than that of the 980 Pro.

The Samsung 990 Pro has sequential read speeds of 7,450 MB/s (up from 7,000 MB/s on the 980 Pro) and sequential write speeds of up to 6,900 MB/s (up from 5,100 MB/s on the 980 Pro). This will allow for faster loading speeds both with PC games and with the PS5.
Whilst the 990 Pro is more powerful. it actually uses more than 50% less power than the 980 Pro when used.
