Samsung has today revealed its new foldables, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, alongside the Galaxy Watch Ultra, new Galaxy Buds and release details for the Samsung Galaxy Ring (Australian specific coming later).
SAMSUNG GALAXY Z FOLD 6/Z FLIP 6
Both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 now come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, with both devices now sporting a more squarer design that is said to provide better resistance thanks to a new hinge design and materials used.
The Z Fold 6 screen is a little bit bigger going from 6.3 inches to 6.4 inches and the phone has gone from 253 grams to 239 grams making it a bit lighter. Whilst the Fold 6 camera is mostly the same with an updated 12-mega pixel ultrawide lens, there’s some changes on the Z Flip 6 side.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 features largely the same design with the same size cover screen, but there’s now a 50-megapixel main camera on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 bringing in-line with the flagship Samsung devices, there’s a bigger battery and there’s now vapour chamber cooling as well. There’s also 12GB of ram in the base model which has also ben upgraded to 512GB.
AI is a huge feature of these devices, but the one Samsung is talking about most is the new “sketch to image” feature which does exactly that, take a sketch and turn it into a proper image using AI.

SAMSUNG GALAXY WATCH ULTRA/7/BUDS 3/BUDS 3 PRO
As far as new Buds go, Samsung announce the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro with both looking a lot more like AirPods (especially the white). The Buds 3 have an open-ear design whilst the Buds 3 Pro have an in-ear design with a unique blade feature that can show you the pairing status.
Interestingly enough, both buds offer active noise cancellation, so it’ll be interesting to see how that works on the standard Buds 3 which have an open-ear design. The Buds 3 have a total 24 hour battery life whilst the Pros have a 26 hour battery life including battery recharge.
As far as watches go, the new Galaxy Watch Ultra is the one worth talking about and there’s no secret that it’s trying to compete with the Apple Watch Ultra. It looks quite a bit like it with the same signature orange watch band and a new strap lug system that also looks familiar. It has a 3,000 nit screen, dual-frequency GPS and a huge 100 hour battery life in power-saving mode. The standard Watch 7 looks fairly similar to that of the one that came before it with new OS and hopefully faster running specs.
