Not content with its new gaming monitor announcements this morning, Samsung has also announced some new creative monitors that are set to really change the game in 2023.
SAMSUNG VIEWFINITY S9 5K MONITOR
This looks set to be a gamer-changer for 2023, and giving Apple some competition in the 5K space.
The ViewFinity S9 monitor will feature a matte 5K 27″ screen that has a wide colour gamut of 99% DCI-PR. It also has built-in colour calibration engine to ensure precise screen colour and brightness using your smart phone.
The SlimFit camera is 4K (much better than what’s included in the Apple Studio Display) that has face tracking and it also has USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 connectivity to easily connect your MacBook or other devices directly.
Samsung is also including the Samsung Smart Hub directly in the monitor so that you can use apps such as Netflix and Google Meet right in the monitor, which once again really blends the worlds between professional and being able to use this as a display in your bedroom to watch shows and movies without a computer.
SAMSUNG M80C SMART MONITOR
Samsung is also releasing an updated version of its very popular M8 Smart Monitor. Previously, it only came in 32″ but Samsung will release a 27″ version and both will come in Daylight Blue, Spring Green, Sunset Pink or Warm White. The stand that comes with the display is fully height-adjustable and the monitor is VESA mount compatible.
Just like with last year’s model, you’re able to use any of the Samsung Smart Hub apps such as Netflix and Xbox Cloud Gaming without a TV connected, and Samsung has even added mouse support this year.
The integrated SlimFit camera now has a 2K resolution, and there’s now a My Content feature that lets you show your personalised photos, weather or schedule on screen whilst the TV is in low power mode.
We’ll let you know when we have more information on the release of both of these displays. We’ll be bringing you a lot more CES 2023 coverage this week.
