Samsung has announced that its Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 AKA its very first OLED monitor is launching in Australia on March 6th for $1,999 AUD. Those that pre-order between now and March 5th will get a free Samsung 990 Pro 2TB valued at $399.
You can pre-order from Mwave HERE or from the official Samsung store HERE.
The monitor features an OLED panel with a Neo Quantum processor which will result in deep blacks with bright whites. It has a 0.3ms response time and a 175hz refresh rate with a 3440×1440 resolution. It has DisplayHDR 400, meaning that you should be able to take advantage of some decent HDR.
Like other Samsung monitors that have released lately, it has Samsung smart TV functionality built right in and includes a remote, so that you can use it as a TV without needing anything connected to it.
As far as inputs go, it has Micro HDMI 2.1 and USB-C functionality, so that you can connect any PC or gaming console to it. The design of the monitor is super slim measuring at 3.9mm at its thinnest part.
