WD has announced that the WD_Black SN850P SSD has arrived in Australia. You can grab it at JB Hi-Fi or the below links from Amazon:
- 1TB – $198 ($229 AUD RRP)
- 2TB – $309 ($339 AUD RRP)
- 4TB – $531 ($699 AUD RRP)
The SN850P is a PS5 compatible SSD that has the PlayStation logo on it as its PlayStation’s officially licensed SSD.
Unlike the SN850 that came before it, the SN850P will be available in 1TB, 2TB and a whopping 4TB variation. Just as a reminder, adding an SSD to your PS5 adds to your internal storage and doesn’t replace it.
It’s also worth mentioning that the SN850P is faster than the SN850. The SN850p writes at 7,300MB/s and reads at 6,300MB/s in comparison to the 7,000/5,300MB/s speeds of the original SN850.
