Sonos Apple Music Spatial Audio

Apple Music Spatial Audio Support Has Arrived On Sonos Speakers

UPDATE: Apple Music Spatial audio support has now arrived on Sonos Era 100/300 speakers as well as the Sonos Beam and Sonos Arc. You’ll need to update your devices and apps to take advantage of it. You’ll then need to use Apple Music within the Sonos app to play music with spatial audio. It’ll show as a little icon within the app.

Original story: In addition to the newly revealed Sonos Era 300/100 speakers that were announced earlier today, Sonos has announced that Apple Music spatial audio is coming to Sonos speakers on March 29th, 2023 in Australia.

When it launches, you’ll be able to use either the Sonos Beam, Sonos Arc or Sonos Era 300 (all three support Dolby Atmos) to take advantage of Apple Music spatial audio, which gives a wider sound stage to music.

“It’s a thrilling time in music as spatial audio – and the artist creativity that comes with it – continues to grow,” said Giles Martin, Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter, and composer and VP of Sound Experience at Sonos. “Sonos continues to put its listeners at the forefront of sound innovation, ensuring they have access through Apple Music to transformative experiences like spatial audio with Dolby Atmos, so they can feel more from the content they love.”
