Last week Apple announced that it was changing the app store rules to allow for emulators for the first time in App store history, and it hasn’t taken long for the first emulator to show up.
iGBA is a Gameboy, Gameboy Colour and Gameboy Advance emulator that utilises the Files app on iPhone/iPad for you to load roms into. The initial reports are that it works quite well although it does have ads, so hopefully it won’t be too long before other alternatives pop-up.
You can download iGBA for free on the App Store for iPhone and iPad HERE.
Here’s how iGBA is described on its App store listing:
“iGBA: GBA & GBC Retro Emulator stands as a remarkable, lightweight retro emulator tailored to transport you back to the golden era of gaming with the Game Boy family.
In summary, iGBA: GBA & GBC Retro Emulator is the ultimate emulator for any retro gaming enthusiast. With its efficiency, lightweight design, beauty, and superior optimization, it offers an unparalleled emulation experience for all Game Boy family fans. So get ready to relive your favorite childhood moments and dive into nostalgia with iGBA.”
