I’m somebody who loves my laptop to do everything – one that is powerful enough to play the latest AAA games but also one that is portable enough to come with me into the office and whilst traveling to take with me on the plane, but also one that is just as capable as my home setup.
The MSI Stealth A16 AI+ is just about to close as perfect in that regard as any laptop that I’ve tested. It has a magnesium- aluminium alloy chassis which feels super high-end, but it’s also super thin and light at just 2.1kg heavy and under 20mm thick, meaning it easily fits into my backpack and is super light to carry around, but it doesn’t skimp on materials feeling super expensive.
AI has been all the rage in computing over the last few years, but the Stealth A16 AI+ utilises the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor to handle just about anything that you can throw it whilst doing everyday tasks, adn there’s also up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU that can kick into gear whilst playing the latest AAA games, and I tested eveything from God of War to Horizon Forbidden West to Diablo 4 and it handled it with a breeze.
Whilst Windows gaming laptop haven’t been known to have the best battery life, it’s this super efficient CPU coupled with the massive 99.9 WHR battery that absolutely blew me away in terms of how long it lasted whilst gaming. It also has Wi-Fi 7 support which means that it will have the absolute fastest connectivity with compatible routers.
The display is also fantastic with a 16-inch 16:10 120hz MiniLED display that is super vibrant whilst gaming but also incredibly accurate for those that need an accurate display for graphics work. It also provides up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness which makes it great for use in direct sunlight.
In terms of ports on the laptop, you get the below:

My absolute favourite feature when it comes to the ports is that Thunderbolt 4 port which allows you to charge the laptop and also output to a display at full capacity with just one cord, which makes it great for going between home with a dedicated monitor setup and taking it out and about with you.
And lastly one of the most important person to me as someone that is writing for most of the day is the keyboard and the super customisable RGB backlit keyboard is fantastic on the Stealth A16 AI+. It’s extremely responsive and has a great feeling whilst typing.
The reality is that if you’re somebody who wants a laptop that blends power and portability, there really aren’t too many options on the market that are as capable as this. It has an extremely understated design that can take advantage of RGB when required, but equally it lives up to its Stealth name with a super sleek minimalist design.
