Last week, Logitech held their massive Logitech G Play event at various locations around the world, and we were fortunate enough to head to the Tokyo event to check out the latest Logitech G PRO gaming gear, as well as a range of other new additions to the Logitech G lineup. From brand-new PRO Series products and new colourways to updates across some of Logitech’s most popular gaming and racing gear, there was plenty to see and get hands-on with at the event.
New PRO Series Gear
Probably the biggest reveal of the event was the new range of Logitech PRO Series gear. Four brand-new products were unveiled during the event: the Logitech G PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED Gaming Headset, Logitech G PRO Superstrike X3 Gaming Mouse, Logitech G PRO X2 Rapid Keyboard and Logitech G PRO X Control Mousepad.
Primarily focused on competitive and aspiring prosumer gamers like myself, this was easily the range I was most excited about from the event. Logitech has kept the focus firmly on performance while also adding a bit more flair, with new colourways for a range that has traditionally been dominated by muted black and white options.
The Superstrike gaming mouse makes a somewhat surprising return with the new Logitech G PRO Superstrike X3, bringing a number of tweaks to the popular mouse. I’ve been a big fan of the Logitech G PRO Superstrike X2 since the introduction of its HIT technology, and while the X3 isn’t a massive game changer compared to the X2, it brings some much-needed refinements and improved battery life. I’m also a big fan of the new full-black and magenta colourways.
Other key highlights from the range include the new microphone on the Logitech G PRO X3 LIGHTSPEED, which sounds promising on paper, although I’m yet to properly test it, as well as a new keyboard featuring Rapid Trigger and on-the-fly switching. We also have the new G PRO X Control Mousepad, which is particularly interesting as it’s something we haven’t seen in the PRO range before. As somewhat of a mousepad connoisseur, I was impressed with how the G PRO X Control felt during my limited testing alongside the Superstrike X3, so I’m definitely keen to spend more time with it.

Bright Mars Red – Logitech G Astro A50 X Lightspeed in a new colour
One of the hottest colourway reveals of the event was this bright red Logitech G Astro A50 X Lightspeed. We’ve seen Logitech be bold with their bright papaya orange McLaren edition of the A50X Gaming Headset, hopefully we see a blue one next maybe?
A classic name returns – The Yeti 2 is here
The Yeti is such a classic product that I’m pretty sure every gamer at one point owned one, whether they’re a budding creator or just want something that leveled up their in-game chat. The first Yeti was my first standalone microphone I purchased and it’s good to see Logitech bring this product back with the Yeti 2.
While the Yeti 2 retains that classic look of the OGs, the sequel comes with newer tech to help lock in your voice and remove any unwanted background noise by using AI tech to cancel out any unwanted audio. The front also features a screen to allow you to check your settings such as gain and levels without alt-tabbing to the desktop or software. The Yeti 2 also supports plug and play so you can slap it in and get pro-grade audio without needing to install the software.
New colourways coming to fan favourites
Aside from the big announcements around the new PRO Series gear, Logitech is also expanding the colour options across some of its popular models. The Logitech G502 X PLUS Gaming Mouse, which has become a staple in Logitech’s gaming lineup, is getting two new colourways, White/Mint and Black/Purple. Both look incredible in person, but personally, the Black/Purple takes the cake. Meanwhile, the recently released Logitech G305 X SUPERLIGHT Gaming Mouse is also getting a new Lilac colourway, adding a bit more variety to the lineup.
Another Team Papaya Addition
Logitech are further pushing their partnership with McLaren Racing with the announcement of this Logitech G RS50 McLAREN Racing Bundle.The full kit in bright orange was on display at the event which we had a chance to try out. The new bundle comes with a F1 style steering wheel out of the box instead of the usual so if you’re someone that focuses on formula cars, this is the bundle for you. While personally not a McLaren fan, I do like the styling of the RS50 in metallic orange and it looks fantastic for McLaren fans if you combine it with the Playseat Formula Instinct McLaren Edition they had on display at the event.
Overall, Logitech G Play Tokyo 2026 was packed with exciting new gear, with something for competitive gamers, content creators, racing enthusiasts and anyone looking to freshen up their setup. The new PRO Series range was definitely the highlight for me, with the Superstrike X3, PRO X3 Lightspeed, PRO X2 Rapid and PRO X Control bringing some interesting additions to Logitech’s competitive-focused lineup.
It was also great to see Logitech experimenting with different colourways, bringing back the iconic Yeti name with the Yeti 2 and expanding its racing lineup with the bright RS50 McLaren Racing Bundle. There’s plenty here I’m looking forward to spending more time with, and while our hands-on time only offered a taste, Logitech G Play Tokyo 2026 has certainly given gamers plenty of new gear to keep an eye on over the coming months.
