Lenovo has announced the Lenovo Tab Extreme which is a tablet/laptop Android hybrid that has a 14.5-inch 120Hz 3K OLED display.
Similarly to the iPad Pro, it has a magnetic keyboard/case combo (that actually comes with the tablet) and lets you cleverly use it in laptop mode but also very similar to the iPad Magic Keyboard in a floating stance. It also includes a Lenovo Precision Pen 3, that once again unlike the iPad Pro, actually comes with the device.
Not only is the screen bigger, but it also has a fingerprint sensor on the power key, a MicroSD slot and dual USB-C ports. The internals include 12GB of ram and 256GB of storage as well as an 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor.
It has dual 13MP cameras on the front and back of the device and similar to Apple’s iPad Pro, also has a Centre Stage like feature that keeps you in frame.
Whilst there’s no release date, it’s set to cost $1,119 USD (~$1,657 AUD) which sounds expensive, but given it has a bigger screen and comes with the keyboard/pen, it’s actually a good deal.
The only downside though, is that this is an Android tablet, and whilst I think they’ve come a long way, I don’t think it really compares to iPad OS or even Windows 10 in terms of what’s achievable in this device, but it is a super nice piece of tech regardless.
