Sonos has announced the Sonos Ray which is its brand new budget soundbar that will set you back $399 when it launches on June 7th. You can pre-order it HERE.
The Sonos Ray has many of the Sonos features that we’ve come to know and love over the years including Airplay 2 functionality as well as Sonos enhancements such as Speech Enhancement and Night Mode as well as seamless connectivity into the rest of your Sonos ecosystem.
The core differences between the Sonos Beam 2 (which comes it at $599) is the fact that is doesn’t have HDMI support, opting for an optical port only and there’s no Dolby Atmos support which isn’t a huge surprise given the price difference.
Whilst the Sonos Beam 2 was a noticeable different over the original, I’d expect the Sonos Ray to be very good value for money, in terms of just setting it up and getting a great sound out of the box.
